In the online learning program, there are 24 units that combine grammar, vocabulary and German culture, as well as 50 grammar modules. There are also pronunciation activities but I haven't gotten the audio to work yet!

I opened up the 12th unit the other day and felt disoriented in the grammar, so currently, I am slogging through the 15th grammar module. The grammar modules vary in length, and this particular one is 39 activities long. The activities include things like filling in the blanks (typed or from a selection of words/phrases), reordering words, and rewriting sentences (e.g., putting two short sentences together). Whilst completing activities, I use google translate alongside it if I am struggling to understand a sentence, as this is crucial to making an informed grammar decision and is in my mind more preferable than blind guessing.

The biggest thing I have learnt working with the online program is the importance of being very engaged in it - I have to check with each page whether I've understood the point of the exercise, as I noticed if I didn't do so I would end up several pages later not knowing how I got there! Knowing this, I will be trying to work on the program more frequently for shorter bursts.
