Things I have learnt:
"Nehme Sie ruhig" = go ahead and take (literally, "take calm")
When you ask, "would you like to be able to do x?", you are using two infinitive verbs PLUS the conjugated one (would)!
So the sentence might look like: Möchtest du x machen zu können?
Recipe verbs:
schmelzen = melt
schneiden = slice
dünsten = stew
dazugeben = add to [it]
verteilen = distribute
kneten = knead
verrühren = stir
mischen = mix
vorheizen = preheat
würzen = spice
One of the activities we had to do was respond to a conversation according to the instructions on the screen. The part instructed me to accept glasses of wine (I don't drink) and reject the cheese (this was heartbreaking). :( I was so excited to see cheese on the screen the first time I recorded I forgot to follow the instructions and was like "Ja, ich möchte es! Ich liebe Käse!" - "Yes, I would like it, I love cheese!" and then realised I got it wrong. :D
