Dictations sheet

When planning my dictations I recalled my time doing these in class, and the many minutes I spent waiting around for my friends to finish (I swear I'm not bragging). I remember one teacher telling me to try put in all the articulation I could hear whilst waiting, so on that idea I built my Dictation Sheet of Ultimate Non-Boredom (I hope). Basically, I opted to create a specialised dictation sheet with space to analyse a concept of the student's choice while waiting. There will always be a "first to finish" student, so I thought I may as well give them 3 minutes of something to do rather than give them the opportunity to feel superior over their classmates and make said classmates feel uncomfortable to boot.

About Me

I'm a genre-hopping cellist and amateur chorister studying Music Education at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. I am the cellist for Quart-Ed, an educational string quartet, and I've recently been exploring the string folk scene.

I sustained an anxiety-related playing injury in 2016 and am now on the road to recovery with a passion for awakening and deepening people’s musical identities, and developing healthy music making practices in school settings and beyond.
