Round 2: Making contact

Earlier this year I went to the Eel Festival in Parramatta, where I got to speak with someone doing a Darug language workshop. While she didn't have time to chat to me about my idea then, she did hand me a business card and tell me to contact her. Since then it has been a wild transition and I hadn't gotten onto it, but I've just sent an email off. Looking on their website, it looks as if their aims as an organisation align closely with my project, and they are a not-for-profit organisation so I hope they will be willing to collaborate without money being an issue as when I discussed it last year with Jo it seemed unlikely that we had the funds to commission/financially pay people for this project.

They taught me how to weave a basket :)
